Major Components: 7,000 sq. ft. each floor, therapy pool,
elevator, finished basement with two walk-out patios
Architect: VH Design, Edwardsville, IL
Owner: Gateway Properties, Highland, IL
Korte & Luitjohan began construction in April, 2004 on a
5-acre, 7-lot professional park. The first building houses the
anchor business, Apex Physical Therapy on the main floor and
Apex Physical Fitness Center on the lower level.
Korte & Luitjohan worked closely with the Owner’s architect
and engineers in obtaining state and local permitting, and
coordinated the selection of all finish items including design
build of the plumbing., HVAC and electric.
Korte & Luitjohan was the General Contractor and
self-performed many aspects of the project, including site
grading, water and sewer system installation, excavation of
building basement, foundation installation, rough framing and
roofing of the building, installation of doors and other
finishes throughout the building.
