This project consisted of the
construction of tanks, piping and appurtenances for the
Caseyville Township Facility Plant Expansion. Improvements
consist of, construction of a new laboratory facility,
office/garage building, filter press building, blower
building, tertiary filter building, Sequential Batch Reactor
plants, digesters, ultra-violet light disinfection system,
terminal lift station and bar screen, modifying the existing
aeration system and blowers for the extended aeration plants,
expansion of the sludge handling facilities.
The Caseyville Township Waste Water Treatment Expansion was
conducted over a two year period. The treatment capacity was
increased from 2.2 MGD to 4.4 MGD. Six new building structures
were built as part of the expansion, accounting for over $4
million of the project budget. Although the plant was required
to be in full operation throughout the entire project, which
involved detailed scheduling and coordination with the owner,
the project was completed on time and within budget.
