This picturesque location was
chosen as the setting for the Grafton Visitors Center. The
City of Grafton wanted a convenient location to build a
welcoming center for travelers on the Great River Road. The
visitors center provides restroom facilities to the general
public, along with guide books and pamphlets for local
attractions.
Korte & Luitjohan worked with the City of Grafton on a number
of infrastructure changes to this project to accommodate the
city’s future development requirements. Korte & Luitjohan is
proud to have been involved with this unique building which
combines natural stone, stained concrete and rough cut lumber
to blend into the surroundings.
Placed beside the bike path that winds along the bluffs of the
Mississippi, the large windows throughout the Grafton Visitors
Center provide beautiful views of the cliffs above and the
scenic river below.
